Newrest in Saudi Arabia

A LASTING ALLIANCE WITH AL HOKAIR

As part of a joint venture with its trusted partner AL HOKAIR in 2008, Newrest contributed to Saudi Airlines Catering Company’s (SACC) expansion strategy in all segments of catering, base management and hotel services in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.

By ensuring meal production from its 5 units, Newrest has enabled its customer to achieve steady growth and double its sales in just under 10 years. This collaboration has had a significant impact on the development of the airline industry in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. The Newrest and SACC teams have considerably improved operational efficiency by introducing technical innovations and new standards previously unknown in the Kingdom’s airline sector.

NEWREST COMMITS TO NEOM

In 2024, Newrest and AL HOKAIR join forces once again for the NEOM project. The NEOM Camp is a construction site located 1h30 from Tabuk, in the north-west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For its customer AL FANAR, Newrest will produce 30,000 meals a day from 3 new central kitchens, for a total of 9,000 residents a day. The operation will start on April 1, 2024. At the heart of the Saudi government’s Vision 2030 plan to modernize the country, NEOM is one of a series of outstanding projects designed to develop the Kingdom’s cultural and tourism offering.

Building on their long-standing technical expertise, Newrest and Al Hokair are once again committed to a project that will set the benchmark for innovation and sustainable development, with a focus on absolute preservation of the environment, and respect for history, the land and local populations.

Newrest is also positioning itself to be part of the AlUla project, and to develop a new tourism experience for the Kingdom, one that is true to the hospitality of the Arab world, and that is at once cultural, sensory and authentic.
