Deputy Warehouse Manager

Newrest SLC LLC is looking for a Deputy Warehouse Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the area of work is completed in a timely manner and with high quality. This is done by working with others and coordinating the employees’ efforts, along with doing part of the work themselves.  This individual will be working alongside warehouse workers and help to maintain the process flow, quality, and other operational and personnel processes.

Responsibilites:

  • Assists the Warehouse Manager in planning and assigning tasks to warehouse employees in order to achieve objectives
  • Assists the Warehouse Manager in coordinating the planned and unplanned work flow of the warehouse
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse functions
  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring that employees are properly trained on the warehouse equipment and use it appropriately
  • Ensure warehouse organization & stock rotation including cleanliness
  • Champion continuous improvement activities and culture
  • Communicate job performance standards to team members
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience at supervisory level or above 
  • Experience leading or supervising the day-to-day operations of warehouse services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business and customer service focus
  • Ability to lift items/packages (up to 35 lbs. / 15 kg)
  • Quality control and/or inventory management experience/certifications
  • Well organized, rigorous and methodical but enough adaptability to local constraints
  • Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

SALARY: $18.00 per hour
