Newrest SOS supports Brigada Eskwela 2020

COVID-19 Pandemic has brought lots of changes in our means and ways. In the Philippines, with still thousands of active cases in different cities and provinces, mass gathering and physical interaction are still prohibited as part of preventive measures. One institution really affected is the school. As school year officially opens on October 05, Department of Education has launched Modular Distance Learning (MDL), where learning modules will be prepared by the teachers and distributed to the students.

Mainaga-San Francisco Elementary School in Mabini, Batangas reached out to different establishments asking for donations as additional aid to their Brigada Eskwela. Newrest SOS had no doubts to support the cause. With assistance of NSOS Batangas Field Office, school supplies were turned over to the school, represented by Mrs. Edichita Agena and Mrs. Thelma Iglesia. The teachers were more than happy to receive different supplies such as folders, envelopes, fasteners, pens, and others, which they really need for the learning modules of their students.

As we all face the new normal brought by pandemic, this act is a simple reminder not to take for granted Education as one of our basic needs, and we can all do our share to extend our help.
