South africa

A new contract in April 2022

Maersk Drilling has won contracts with Shell to supply the 7th generation drillship Maersk Voyager for drilling services offshore several countries. The contracts are expected to commence in April 2022, for a total firm period of one year. It includes an additional one-year option. Newrest will provide 10′ DNV offshore containers on hire for transit and commodities from Port-Gentil in Gabon. It will supply the Rig which will arrive in SAO TOME end of April.

A partnership already established

At the end of October 2021, Newrest had already accompanied Maersk Drilling for an ultra-deep water exploration contract in Gabon with PC Gabon Upstream SA (PCGUSA), a subsidiary of Petronas. The 7th generation Maersk Viking drillship was used to drill an ultra-deepwater exploration well in approximately 2,100m water depth in Block F13 offshore Gabon. Newrest in Gabon delivered the food and provided a full cleaning and laundry team of around 15 people.

Newrest is particularly proud to extend its collaboration with Maersk Drilling. The group is now a world reference in remote management. Also, Newrest intends to make its mark in the offshore sector by participating in the OTC 2022 (Offshore Technology Conference). It will take place in Houston, Texas, from 2 to 6 May 2022.

Newrest brings its expertise in the mining, oil and gas sector by constantly adapting its offer. Through a 360° solution, Newrest offers a solution adapted to each need. We find here the notion of Catering Unlimited, which has been the path of the group for many years now.
