Chefs Unlimited

Our passion for cooking brings us together. We learn from each other, we innovate together, always with greed.

All over the world, the group is developing initiatives to highlight the culinary expertise of Newrest chefs.

In 2019, the community Chefs Unlimited was born, aiming to bring together talented chefs around values such as excellence, creativity and sharing. This active community gathered in April 2024 in Istanbul, and in May 2025 in São Paulo. These international seminars enable chefs from all over the world to come together around a variety of themes such as quality, learning recipes, but also the place of CSR and digital in our kitchens. The event took place in the MasterChef® studios in Türkiye, and in the kitchens of the famous Cordon Bleu school in Brazil.

Every day, Newrest chefs are committed to offering cuisine that is tasty, responsible and creative. Taste begins with a rigorous selection of ingredients, with particular attention paid to freshness, traceability and seasonality. This approach favors short supply chains and contributes to a more sustainable diet.

Culinary art is also expressed in the balance of textures, the harmony of flavors and respect for local gastronomic identities. Because pleasure is as much for the palate as for the eyes, meticulous care is taken in arranging the dishes: each dish is conceived as an elegant and generous visual creation.

By integrating CSR commitments into their practices – reducing food waste, limiting packaging, raising awareness of eco-responsible practices – chefs are actively participating in the positive transformation of catering.

At the heart of our community Chefs Unlimited, three fundamental values unite and elevate us: excellence, creativity and sharing. Driven by high standards and a shared passion, our chefs cultivate technical mastery, respect for products and culinary identities, while anticipating trends and guaranteeing quality on a grand scale. Culinary excellence goes hand in hand with a strong desire to transmit, train and inspire. Creativity manifests itself in the boldness to explore new ingredients, techniques and combinations, pushing back the boundaries of gastronomy to create experiences that are at once gustatory, visual and memorable. Finally, sharing is the soul of our community: by encouraging the exchange of know-how, ideas and inspiration, we foster a collective dynamic where everyone learns, evolves and innovates alongside others.

Taste and pleasure: the basics of cooking

Mastering the flavors of the world while respecting culinary traditions, preparing a creamy hummus or making a fresh and perfectly balanced ceviche: these are the culinary techniques that the chefs perfected or rediscovered during the seminar. Taste in the kitchen means selecting quality ingredients and using seasonal produce. And since pleasure also depends on the aesthetics of the dishes, the chefs pushed back the boundaries of the art of presentation by presenting their creations in an elegant and meticulous manner.

A constantly evolving cuisine without borders

Jean-Michel, how is culinary innovation expressed at Newrest?

JMF: Respecting the seasons, sourcing locally, choosing products at the peak of their flavor: this is the recipe that underpins our culinary approach in all our territories. The cross-disciplinary nature of our business and our exposure to all types of culinary services, from V.I.P menus for private jets to meals served in sensitive environments, is a source of infinite inspiration and innovation. To encourage sharing among our chefs, over 100 recipes from all over the world have been compiled on our ERP system Winrest.

Innovation also requires training. This is the raison d’être of our Chefs Unlimited. Our reference chefs in each country have a duty to pass on their knowledge and support, so that future generations can take up the baton.
