Newrest’s history has always been closely linked to sport. Driven by its founder, Olivier Sadran, surpassing oneself and constantly challenging oneself are deeply rooted in the DNA of our teams.
Whether in our kitchens, in the dining room, with our customers or our guests, these values inspire us and define us day after day. Physical activity is a driving force that pushes us to go further, to surpass ourselves and to give the best of ourselves.
Throughout the year, we support and organise numerous initiatives. From partnerships with top sportsmen and women to participation in various events, sport is a daily part of life at Newrest.
Sports partnership with TFC
Since its creation, Newrest has been committed to the Toulouse Football Club (TFC). The club, based in the city where Newrest was founded, plays in the premier league of the French championship. In 2020, the club was relegated to Ligue 2, but never lost hope or the will to win. In 2022, the team climbed back into Ligue 1, followed by its loyal group of supporters and its historic sponsor.
The team, which has enjoyed an exceptional sporting rise in recent seasons, is for Newrest a symbol of the spirit of competition and sporting combat.
Castres
Olympique
Partner
In 2024, the group joined forces with Castres Olympique for three seasons. This rugby team plays in the TOP 14, the world’s most popular professional championship for the sport. Winner of the Bouclier de Brennus on 5 occasions (most recently in 2018), the club also competes at European level in the Champions Cup. The history of the Newrest Group echoes that of Castres Olympique and its main shareholder, the Pierre Fabre Group. Both share a rich entrepreneurial adventure, with passionate men and women, open to the world but also deeply attached to their territory.
Perrine Laffont, a champion with shared values with Newrest
In addition to supporting team sports, Newrest is also committed to top-level athletes. For example, Perrine Laffont, Olympic mogul skiing champion, benefits from Newrest sponsorship.
This support enables Perrine to concentrate fully on her performance, while embodying Newrest’s values of surpassing oneself and perseverance. This partnership underlines the company’s commitment to the world of high-level sport and its support for sporting talent. Perrine is focused on sporting excellence, with the major ambition of becoming a champion at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
One Team Unlimited Challenge: internal challenges!
The One Team Unlimited Challenge, launched in September 2021, brings together Newrest employees from all over the world around sporting challenges. Sport conveys values such as surpassing oneself, team spirit and solidarity. The various projects set up at the initiative of collaborators give the opportunity to showcase the beauty and diversity of their country.
Hiking, soccer tournaments, dog sledding and volcano climbing – there were plenty of challenges to be met this year. The essence of the One Team Unlimited Challenge is to rally as many people as possible around the values of sport and corporate cohesion.
Cap Optimist: a worldwide feat
6 women take up the challenge of crossing the ocean from Peru to Tahiti, 8,000 km, rowing on a board, using only their arms. The event raised funds for the Hope Team East association.
Riding to Explore: A sporting challenge in the service of the environment
2 champion athletes push back the boundaries of kitesurfing on the world’s highest lakes, and use this sporting challenge to raise awareness of the consequences of global warming.
