Newrest Iceland represents a strategic expansion of the Group into Northern Europe, reinforcing its presence in the inflight catering sector. Since 2024, the company has been supporting Icelandair and other major carriers from its base at Keflavik International Airport, with a strong focus on innovation, culinary expertise, operational excellence, and sustainability.

Newrest officially launched its operations in Iceland in 2024, establishing a dedicated inflight catering unit at Keflavik International Airport (KEF) to support Icelandair’s base stations. Fully operational since March 2024, the unit now serves as the catering hub for Icelandair, Delta Airlines, and WestJet, handling up to 70 short- and long-haul flights daily. Strategically located airside, the facility spans 5,500 m² and is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation scheduled for completion in 2026. Once finalized, it will become the most advanced unit in the group in terms of innovation and technology. The site integrates cutting-edge systems for procurement, inventory, and quality control, and reflects Newrest’s commitment to digitalization, food safety, and environmental responsibility.
