Newrest Group strengthened its presence in Scandinavia in 2022 by launching inflight operations in three key countries : Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, to support the three main bases of Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).

Newrest Sweden began operations at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport (ARN) in November 2022, following the construction of a brand-new inflight catering unit designed to meet the specific needs of SAS. The facility, built according to Newrest’s international standards, replaced the former unit and now handles nearly 100 flights per day, including both short- and long-haul operations. The site also began catering for Ryanair in 2023. Located airside, the unit is equipped with modern production lines, automated systems, and digital interfaces integrated with SAS’s operational platforms. In addition to Arlanda, Newrest Sweden also operates inflight services in Gothenburg (GOT) and manages rail catering units in Malmö, Gothenburg, and Stockholm, serving the national railway company SJ.
