Established in 2011 through a strategic local partnership, Newrest Uganda is a key player in the inflight and remote site catering industry. As part of the global Newrest Group, the Ugandan branch has steadily expanded its operations, becoming a central hub for aviation catering in the region.

Newrest Uganda began its journey with the construction of a state-of-the-art 2,300 m² production unit in Entebbe, operational since 2012. The facility, which produces over 3,200 meals daily, is ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 certified, Halal compliant, and strategically located near the airport ramp for optimal efficiency. Initially focused on inflight catering, the company broadened its scope in 2023 by launching remote site services, catering to isolated locations such as mining or infrastructure projects. Today, Newrest Uganda serves as the catering hub for Uganda Airlines and also provides services to major international carriers including KLM, flydubai, EgyptAir, and Qatar Airways, reinforcing its role as a vital contributor to the region’s aviation and hospitality sectors.
