Newrest SOS attended Basic Fire Safety and Firefighting Training

On July 13, 2019 at Labac Naic Cavite (South of the Philippines), Newrest SOS strengthened team resilience by sending some employees for training on the basic fire safety and firefighting. Where HSE Committee and Emergency Response Team (ERT) are represented, the participants have shared a unique camaraderie which fosters teamwork and cooperation. The training involved a lecture where basic fire safety was discussed. This included familiarization and proper use of different types of fire extinguishers, and, donning and application of certain types of smoke hoods. A practical training proceeded where an actual firefighting and smoke room escape both were passed by the participants. The basic take away from this training has been that individuals are capable of the skills that facilitates resilience, thus allowing for continuous growth in their ability and prepares them to assume more responsibility in the aspect of emergency preparedness.
