Our kitchen in San Jose, (Casa Proveedora Phillips) was created in 1947
San José’s inflight kitchen (Casa ProveedoraPhillips) was created in 1947, providing services including beverages and snacks to Pan Am DC-3 flights, from La SabanaInternational Airport in San José, Costa Rica to Guatemala City.
With the transfer to the new Airport, Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO), in May 1955, the company moved to a new facility located at Rio Segundo de Alajuela.
Liberia’s inflight kitchen was built in 2004 to serve the growing needs for catering services at the airport. Casa ProveedoraPhillips has built a mobile kitchen as a temporary option. A more important investment plan is currently under study to match the expansion plans of the Airport.
In 2015, Newrest Group purchased Casa ProveedoraPhillips and took over the management of San-José (SJO) Inflight kitchen on the 1st of June 2015. Since then, Newrest has been implementing an improvement plan in order to bring the facility up to Newrest’sworldwide standards.
