In Suriname, Newrest made initial contact with its future partner in early 2020. In December 2020, the group signed with Cirkel Group.
Newrest Suriname was established in 2020 in partnership with Cirkel Group, with the objective to meet the requirements of their energy, oil and gas, and mining clients, both onshore and offshore. Cirkel Group is a Surinamese group of companies founded in 1995. With a history of representing worldwide recognized brands in hospitality including Courtyard by Marriott, KFC, Pizza Hut, Cinnabon and Western Union, the company has grown into a diverse enterprise anchored in Suriname. Newrest brings its international experience in the Energy and Mining sectors, offering an integrated solution that covers all aspects of life at remote sites—whether onshore or offshore.
