The company was started historically 140 years ago as “Compagnie de Wagons-Lits” and is constantly doing rail business since then.
In 2010 Newrest bought Wagons-Lits and Newrest Wagons-Lits was created.
The company is responsible for the night trains which are operated by OEBB (Austrian Federal Railways). The “nightjet” trains run from Austria to Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
