Newrest moved to Gabon in 2009 to support the activities of one of its main partners.
The company, which only started with two sites, has grown rapidly to now operate in 2024, in around ten remote sites for all Gabon’s oil operators, both onshore and offshore.
Our recognized expertise, our quality of services, a high level of requirement brought to food safety and nutrition allied to the stability and professionalism of our teams have also enabled us to develop in the educational field in Port-Gentil.
To date, Newrest Gabon is making efforts to support its customers in the implementation of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy and in particular supports local communities wherever we have the opportunity.
Newrest Gabon operates in the field of catering, hotel management but also offers many facility management services to companies.
Today, Newrest Gabon has 583 employees and serves 3,600 meals per day (breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner).
Newrest Gabon invests in the continuous training of its collaborators by establishing a training center (CDF) at its Port-Gentil base in 2024. Equipped with a hot kitchen, a cold kitchen and an application room, we provide training across all our professions. The CDF enables talent development at Newrest by offering comprehensive and customized training: Newrest Gabon offers a training program tailored to the needs of each of our employees, ranging from hygiene and safety to the training of our cabin crew, laundry staff, cooks, and bakers-pastry chefs. One of the objectives is to promote good practices and culinary techniques in our restaurants, as well as to share and exchange expertise.
