Newrest Caledonia and Newrest Jacrégal consolidated their operations.
In an economic context which is still delicate, the teams continued to work hand in hand with customer and supplier partners to put long-lasting and efficient economic models in place.
The catering services, laundry, cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of green spaces for the company Vale on the Goro Mine allow a platform for training and exchange of expertise between teams that shows every day its benefits. Concession catering activities continued to develop, notably with the opening of the cafeteria space, press point and Médipôle gifts. This point of sale, essentially dedicated to patient visitors, has been progressively developed since February 1, 2017.
In order to enable the whole New Caledonian community to benefit from a sustainable economic model with an optimum quality of service, Newrest bought Sodexo’s shares in the Restauration Française company and, in fact, took over a new production unit.
From the beginning of the year, the Caledonian teams will be responsible for mobilizing the catering service at the 3 clinics in Nouméa (Magnins, Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata). This phase of transition and resumption of staff has made it possible to plan and organize the move to the Nouville clinic in September 2018 which will bring together the 3 clinics.
