Newrest starts catering services for Binter in the Canary Islands, Spain
On December 16th, Newrest started to provide inflight catering services to Binter in Spain. The Group will supply the airline from the airports of Gran Canaria LPA and Tenerife Norte TFN
Binter is one of the youngest and most modern fleets in Europe. The transports 4 million passengers per year, providing its customers with daily connections to all the islands of the Canary archipelago.
Newrest now provides meals to passengers of 10 international flights and close to 100 inter-island flights daily.
This new contract includes the production of more than 1,000 gourmet food boxes and the shipping of approximately 15,000 chocolate bars daily for inter-island flights.
One of the aspects most valued by Binter customers is its award-winning inflight service, with a complimentary menu on flights to and from destinations outside the Canary Islands. Newrest takes part in this passengers’ satisfaction by introducing km 0 Canary Island products, such as salads, fruit, Canary Island cheeses and natural orange and banana juice. It matches with current trends becoming norms in the food industry. This innovation is legit considering Newrest’s commitment to a more sustainable catering.
