Newrest South Africa started operations with Virgin Atlantic
Another big news in South Africa! Last month, we were very honoured to announce you the award of several inflight contracts (link with the article of October 3rd). The launch of the operations with Virgin Atlantic strengthens Newrest as the leading actor of the Inflight sector recovery in the Southern Africa.
On the 19th October 2020, Newrest South Africa, proudly, started providing catering services to Virgin Atlantic in Johannesburg. On the Johannesburg to London route, Virgin Atlantic operates commercial flights with a 787 aircraft, 5 days in the week. The other 2 days of the week, the airline operates cargo flights.
Albeit a restrictive menu due to the COVID 19 measures that are in place, Newrest South Africa provides a very high-quality menu in all 3 classes: Upper Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
Besides, Virgin Atlantic has confirmed that their London – Cape Town will start operating 3 times week, on the 10th December 2020. We are proud to announce that our Cape Town facility will provide the catering services for this flight.
