Nigeria: Newrest ASL has done the catering for the World Cup trophy
Over the next few months, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will visit no less than 91 cities across 51 countries and six continents. Due to be held in Russia later this year, the Trophy Tour will give fans everywhere a taste of the excitement that’s to come, not to mention a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the Trophy for themselves.
Arriving Nigeria via Titan Airways on March, 7th, the World cup and its entourage landed in Abuja for the first time ever where they were met with pomp and pageantry.
Newrest ASL was on hand to receive the flight by 11am with Catering specifications and presentation expectations meted out by the Crew for the trip to Lagos on the 9th.
Nigerian-style Snacks, Dry store items, Offloading, Dish washing/Laundry, Refrigeration/Storage of Items etc. were requested. As the foremost, most consistent and reputable Catering outfit that she is, Newrest ASL ensured satisfaction was well derived by our World cup tourists.
The Tour team arrived 11:00am in Lagos (EXECUJet) where it was again greeted by members of the Nigerian Football Federation, ex-footballers like Peter Rufai, just to mention a few. It was a colourful ceremony with many in attendance.
Service replication by Newrest ASL was the instruction from the Crew as offloading commenced. Although, due to the regional haul flight to Dakar airport (Senegal) which was to be the next port of call for the Tour, indigenous hot meal Catering and a lot more dry store items were advised with set specifications and presentation.
Catering on Sunday, March, 11th morning at 6am was completed without any noticeable hitch. Feedback received was very pleasant as all areas of requested hospitality were met with professionalism : ‘Thank you very much for providing an excellent service to our flight. All catering was well received by our passengers and we were very pleased with the presentation and quality of food you provided. Please pass on my appreciation to all those involved.’
