Raleigh Durham opened its in-flight catering facility in July 2018. The facility was designed by the group’s internal construction department with a wealth of experience designing and constructing in-flight kitchens around the world. The facility was designed with a priority on food safety, bringing the group’s core values to the United States. The newly constructed facility was the first across the US with this kind of focus on food safety.
Partnering with Delta Airlines, Raleigh Durham was the first Newrest site to open its doors in the US. Raleigh Durham caters to over 35 flights and 1,500 meals per day. Including domestic, and International flights. Raleigh Durham has provided additional support to many Delta hub locations providing pre-built items for catering support. RDU also has an array of charter flights out of RDU for many VIPs. Including, but not limited to, the Hurricanes, Rangers, Manchester City. RDU also handles military charters for multiple companies out of Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station (NKT), Pope Army Airfield at Fort Bragg (POB), Albert J Ellis Airport (OAJ), and other surrounding North Carolina military air fields.
