Newrest Coralys events have been honored in St-Maurice-en-Gourgois
After Epiphany Week and the discovery menu of the Hauts-de-France region, the children of the school restaurant in St-Maurice-en-Gourgois were able to discover the vegetables from the "pot au feu".
During the epiphany week the chief proposed to the children a short tour of the epiphanies in Europe, just to know how our neighbors celebrated the epiphany in their respective countries. They were able to discover the Italian Befaninis, a kind of small shortbread decorated, the brioche “Bolo Rei” Portuguese and Dreikönigskuchen, German spice cake. But the most awaited was of course the cake and beans that designated kings and queens for a day!
The month of January honored the Hauts-de-France region, including its speculos:
On February 1st, the chef organized a game with the vegetables from the pot to the fire: the children had to recognize the vegetables, and say if they grow under or on the ground.
