The company started a full-fledged operation in inflight catering as well as rendering outdoor catering service and it has been approved by the Ghana Free Zone Board.
On October 28th 2010, Newrest and First Catering Limited announced the formation of a 50/50 Joint Venture (including First Catering South Africa, Ghana, Zambia and the assets of Nigeria) which has been named Newrest First Catering Ltd. and fully integrated into the Newrest Group’s network.
In October 2014, Newrest announced and assumed 100% ownership of Newrest First Catering and the company is now named Newrest Ghana. The Newrest Accra unit is ISO 22000: 2005, ISO 9001:2015 and Halal certified.
