Atlanta is the world’s busiest airport catering to more than 100 million passengers a year and employing more than 60,000 people. Atlanta is also Delta Airlines’ largest hub location and Newrest is the latest company to join the Atlanta airport community, June 2021.
In 2020 Newrest began plans to redesign the largest kitchen in the US and the largest Newrest kitchen in the group. The facility was designed by the group’s internal construction department with a wealth of experience designing and constructing in-flight kitchens around the world. The state-of-the-art kitchen was designed with a priority on food safety. The kitchen’s innovative design allows for the team to effortlessly cater 150 with room to grow to 350 flights.
The facilities design is highly focused on Newrest ‘s CSR values. Cardboard, plastic, and aluminum recycling priority. The facility’s innovative approach to building flights will cut down on paper waste dramatically by end of 2021.
