Newrest bought 50% of Uganda Inflight Services and took over the Management from 18th of September 2011 onwards.
A brand new unit of 2,300 m2 has been built and operational since November 2012. The volume of production capacity is 3,000 meals per day.
That new Kitchen is 22000:2005 ISO Certified, Yum Certified, Halal compliant and close to the ramp. This kitchen has been designed according the highest standards of food safety, efficiency and productivity.
The main activity is in-flight catering, meals in bulk for B&I and remote-site clients are also produced in the unit.
